GemID Features

The report you hand
the client.

Last updated: August 2026

Turn any saved identification session into an examination report — every observation, the candidate identities, photos, and your examiner details. Download it or email it to a client without leaving the app.

Documented observations, not guesses

Reports are built from the session record: the measurements you entered, the candidates the engine returned, and the metadata you attached. You choose which sections appear.

🔬

Every Recorded Observation

RI readings, specific gravity, fluorescence response, optic character, inclusions — the full property record that led to the identification, stated as "consistent with," not as certification.

📄

Five Output Formats

PDF and HTML for people; JSON, XML, and CSV for systems. Select one stone or a whole batch from any collection, toggle sections, add a custom report title and job label.

✉️

Download or Email

Generate and download directly, or send the report by email from inside the app. Quick Report produces a single-stone PDF from any saved session in one tap.

🏷️

Your Name on It

Examiner name, title, and credentials appear on every report. Team workspaces add full white-label branding — your logo, custom disclaimer, footer text, and default currency.

Download a real sample report

This is actual GemID output — an eight-stone estate lot worked in the app on demo data and exported to PDF the way a client receives it: per-stone observations with reference ranges, candidate identities, acquisition details, and examiner notes.

Workflows that end in a document

If your identification work has to be shown to someone else — a buyer, a client, a bidder — the report is the deliverable.

Dealers

Intake to invoice

Identify at the counter, save the session with purchase price and seller details, and hand over a PDF with the property observations attached. Every stone that crosses the counter leaves a record.

Estate & Auction

Lot documentation

Work a mixed lot with bulk sessions, then export a consolidated report — lot numbers, per-stone observations, candidates flagged "needs review." Bidders see documented indicators, in careful language.

Appraisers

Supporting documentation

Attach the property record to your appraisal file: measurements, photos, examination date, and client metadata in one document. GemID reports supplement — never replace — laboratory grading.

Included in Pro and Team

Examination report export is a Pro feature — try it on the 7-day free trial. Team workspaces ($49/month flat) add white-label branding and role-based access for your whole staff. See GemID for Teams.

GemID is a field identification and documentation tool. Reports state indicators observed and candidate identities — they are not laboratory certifications. For high-value stones, always refer to an accredited laboratory. Read our full methodology.
